UNMATCHED
TROPHY POTENTIAL
Hunt with experienced guides in untamed beauty.
Manitoba is renowned for its black bear hunting. Here, amidst untouched wilderness, you can experience the thrill of a true hunting adventure.
Our black bears are renowned for their size. Thanks to abundant natural food sources, they can reach up to 500 lbs. You’ll also have the chance to encounter a variety of colour phases, from the classic black to cinnamon, chocolate, and even blonde.
Whether you prefer the vibrant spring season, with bears emerging from hibernation and actively feeding, or the fall hunt that coincides with peak berry season, Manitoba’s options are endless. Our Viking Lodge hunts take place over active bait sites, strategically placed. You’ll also have the option to hunt with your choice of rifle, muzzleloader, bow, or crossbow.
Finally, our seasoned guides are intimately familiar with the local terrain and bear behaviour. They’ll ensure a safe, successful hunt and will help you navigate the vast wilderness as you head to prime hunting grounds. You’ll be in a comfortable tree stand, surrounded by breathtaking scenery, and waiting with muted anticipation for your black bear to emerge.
More than just a hunt
Many hunters take advantage of our pristine lakes teeming with walleye, northern pike, lake trout, rainbow trout, and brook trout. They’ll spend their mornings out on the lake in search of that trophy fish or catching just enough for a fish fry before heading out into the woods. Viking Lodge black bear hunts immerse you in the beauty of the Canadian wilderness, testing your skills as a hunter and creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Wounded / Draw Blood Policy
We feel that it is the responsibility of the hunter to practice with your weapon of choice prior to the hunt and understand the best possible shot placement for harvesting a black bear. It is our commitment to you that we will exhaust all options to retrieve your bear. If a bear has been wounded and is not recovered, it is your guide’s responsibility to determine whether it is more than a flesh wound. If your guide feels that the animal will die due to its wound, your hunt will be over. You will have the option at this point to continue your bear hunt for an additional fee of $1000 USD.
